Ashmore Colombia, a subsidiary of Ashmore Group, and its shareholder Patria Investments have agreed to sell 100 per cent stake in the Parque Solar Puerta de Oro project to ISAGEN. The project, located in Guaduas, Cundinamarca, is spread across 530 hectares and has an installed capacity of 360 MWp (300 MWac). The project comprises approximately 511,000 solar modules.
Furthermore, the project is connected to Colombia’s National Interconnected System through a 230 kV, 22.4 km transmission line. The project is expected to supply electricity to more than 390,000 households and help avoid approximately 370,000 tonnes of carbon emissions annually. The transaction further remains subject to the required regulatory approvals.
In August 2026, the National Environmental Licensing Authority (ANLA) granted environmental approval for the Turpiales and Los Nogales solar parks located in Río de Oro, Cesar, Colombia. The projects are being developed by Gestión Grupo Solar Colombia S.A.S. The projects have a combined authorised capacity of 557.2 MWac. Furthermore, the Turpiales solar project will have 348 MWpdc/278.6 MWac of installed capacity while the Los Nogales Photovoltaic Park will have 342.55 MWpdc/278.6 MWac of installed capacity.
