Aukera Energy has achieved financial close for Project Volt located in La Louvière, Belgium. The project includes a 170 MW/340 MWh battery energy storage system (BESS) and is being developed in partnership with Weerts Group. Commercial operations for the project are scheduled to commence in mid-2027. The project was awarded a 15-year contract through Elia’s Y-4 Capacity Remuneration Mechanism auction in November 2025.

The project is also connected to Elia’s high-voltage transmission network via the La Croyère substation, with the 150 kV transformer supplied by Pauwels. The project will initially operate with a two-hour storage duration, with flexibility for future augmentation. The project has secured €97.5 million in debt financing which is being provided by ABN AMRO Bank N.V., Triodos Bank, I4B, Wallonie Entreprendre and SOCOFE.

In May 2026, Aukera announced the commercial operation of the 12 MW Ledwyche Solar and the 25.6 MW Crays Hall Solar, both in UK. Together, the projects add 37.6 MW of renewable energy generation capacity and are backed by a £135 million debt financing from Deutsche Bank and Rabobank. The financing supports a portfolio of five solar PV and BESS projects with a combined capacity of approximately 250 MW.
