Saulteau First Nations and EDF power solutions North America have signed a 30-year electricity purchase agreement (EPA) with BC Hydro for the Taylor South Wind Project. The project, located in British Columbia, has an installed capacity of 200.6 MW. The project is expected to begin supplying enough clean electricity to power around 60,000 homes by 2032.
The project, awarded under BC Hydro’s 2025 Call for Power, is an expansion of the Taylor Wind project. Furthermore, the project is jointly owned by EDF power solutions and Saulteau First Nations, with Saluteau First Nations holding a 51 percent economic interest. The project represents an investment of approximately $650 million, including more than $150 million in local development and construction spending.
In June 2026, EDF Power Solutions North America signed a 30-year power purchase agreement with the Southern California Public Power Authority for the Utah Solar 1 Energy project in California. The project will deliver power to the Los Angeles Department of Water and Power from a 300 MWac solar facility in Millard County, Utah. Commercial operations for the project are expected to commence in mid-2027.
