EDP Renewables North America (EDPR NA) has launched the 100 MW Riverstart III Solar Park (Riverstart III) in Randolph County, Indiana. This represents the newest third phase of Riverstart Solar Park. Riverstart III will generate electricity equivalent to the consumption of more than 19,200 households in Indiana.
Furthermore, Amazon has contracted for the entire 100 MW of the solar park through a long-term power purchase agreement. The Riverstart Solar Park is a part of Amazon’s Climate Pledge commitment to achieve net-zero carbon emissions across its operations by 2040, alongside the company’s goal of sourcing 100 per cent of the electricity used in its operations from renewable energy.
Earlier in February 2025, EDPR NA launched the 100 MW Ragsdale Solar Park in Madison Country, Mississippi. The project became operational in the fourth quarter of 2024 and will supply power directly to Entergy Mississippi’s transmission system.
