Elgin has signed three 15-year contracts for difference (CfDs) backed by power purchase agreements with Erova Energy Group. The agreements cover a 112.6 MW portfolio of solar projects in the UK. The portfolio includes the 61.9 MW Thorpe solar project, the 26.2 MW Aston Flamville solar project, and the 24.5 MW Maes Mawr solar project.
Additionally, all the three projects secured CfDs in the UK’s Allocation Round 6 auction. Project construction is underway, and the projects are expected to generate enough renewable electricity to power around 24,000 UK homes. Under the agreements, Erova will also provide route-to-market, trading, and balancing services over the contract period.
In April 2026, Elgin secured up to £500 million in funding to support the development of up to 1 GW of utility-scale solar and storage projects across the UK. The projects are expected to be fully operational before 2030, with construction already underway for several projects. The financing is provided by BNP Paribas, Siemens Bank, Société Générale, Standard Chartered, and NatWest, with NatWest serving as the sole structuring and coordinating bank.
