Entergy and NextEra Energy Resources LLC, a subsidiary of NextEra Energy Inc. have entered into a joint development agreement to develop up to 4.5 GW of new solar generation and energy storage projects.

As per the company’s statement, the agreement will help Entergy provide renewable energy to more than 3 million customers in Mississippi, Arkansas, Louisiana and Texas. Furthermore, it is a five-year joint development agreement.

Entergy is a Fortune 500 company that provides power to 3 million customers through its operating companies in Arkansas, Louisiana, Mississippi and Texas. The company operates more than 24,000 MW of generating capacity and has approximately 16,100 circuit miles of interconnected high-voltage transmission lines. Meanwhile, NextEra Energy Resources LLC is one the leading power generators in US with about 30.6 GW of generation capacity across 41 US states and Canada.
