Envision Energy and FERA Australia have inked an agreement to develop large-scale hybrid renewable energy projects across Australia’s National Electricity Market (NEM). The projects will have the potential to deliver upto 1 GW of wind generation capacity and 1.5 GWh of battery energy storage.
The partnership between Envision Energy and FERA Australia will launch with a pilot project in Victoria. The project will consist of Envision’s full converter wind turbine, grid-forming battery storage, and advanced HPPC technology in a grid-connected hybrid plant. The pilot project will demonstrate how hybrid systems can enhance grid reliability and unlock new value streams.
Earlier in June 2025, Envision Energy executed an engineering, procurement, and construction agreement. Under the agreement, the company will supply a 120 MW/240 MWh lithium iron phosphate battery energy storage project for Kallista Energy in Saleux, France.
