Germany’s Federal Network Agency has announced the results of the oversubscribed auction held in July 2026 for ground-mounted and non-building solar photovoltaic installations. The auction offered a total capacity of 2,135 MW. A total of 401 bids representing 3,170 MW were submitted, of which 48 bids were disqualified with 261 bids being successful in the pay-as-bid auction.

Furthermore, successful bid prices ranged from 4.38 to 4.97 ct/kWh, with a volume-weighted average of 4.79 ct/kWh. Bavaria secured the largest volume at 429 MW, followed by Baden-Württemberg (266 MW), Rhineland-Palatinate (239 MW), North Rhine-Westphalia (233 MW) and Lower Saxony (225 MW).

In June 2026, Germany’s Federal Network Agency released the results of the onshore wind and innovation auction. The onshore wind auction awarded approximately 2.5 GW across 270 winning bids from 628 submissions totaling roughly 6.4 GW, significantly oversubscribing the 2.5 GW tender. Successful bid prices ranged from 4.44 ct/kWh to 5.19 ct/kWh, with a volume-weighted average of 5.06 ct/kWh, down from 5.54 ct/kWh in the previous round.
