Grenergy has inaugurated the 3.5 GWh Elena battery energy storage system (BESS) project in Chile. The project currently includes 624 battery containers and 6,240 batteries, with plans to expand capacity to 7 GWh by 2028. The project forms part of the Oasis de Atacama platform, which combines 2.5 GW of solar capacity with 14.1 GWh of storage. Across the OASIS platforms, the company’s pipeline totals 5 GW of solar and 22 GWh of storage.
In May 2026, Grenergy entered into a 20-year power purchase agreement with Georgia Power in US for the supply of renewable energy and associated renewable attributes under the Clean and Renewable Energy Subscription (CARES) 2023 programme. The agreement covers the entire output from the Beaver Creek hybrid project, which is estimated to generate approximately 400 GWh of energy annually.
In May 2026, Grenergy secured $268 million in non-recourse financing for the Monte Águila solar plus storage project in Chile. The financing was arranged through an international banking syndicate led by BNP Paribas, alongside KfW IPEX-Bank, Rabobank, Natixis, and Scotiabank. The Monte Águila project also benefits from a 12-year daytime power purchase agreement.
