HydePoint AS (HydePoint) has inked a MoU with Nel Hydrogen for enabling scalable green hydrogen production in offshore, nearshore, and other harsh environments. This partnership will focus on the integration of Nel’s PEM electrolyser stacks into HydePoint’s modular hydrogen production systems.
Furthermore, the collaboration will support the global expansion of renewable energy value chains. This will be done by advancing the integration and optimisation of hydrogen production along with renewable power sources. This partnership will also improve the levelised cost of hydrogen by focusing on system efficiency, modularity, and operational resilience in offshore and nearshore environments.
HydePoint is a Norwegian-based company that develops scalable hydrogen production systems for dockside, nearshore, and offshore applications. It is backed by Kongsberg Group, Moreld, and Vergia. Nel is a pure-play hydrogen technology company with a global presence. The company specialises in electrolyser technology for the production of renewable hydrogen and hydrogen fueling equipment for road-going vehicles.
