Monarch Private Capital announced completion of two hybrid solar and battery energy storage (BESS) projects in Texas, developed by Sunraycer Renewables, for which it provided tax equity financing. The projects include the Midpoint solar project located in Hill County and the Gaia solar project located in Navarro County.
Furthermore, the Midpoint project comprises 127.05 MWdc of solar capacity and a 50 MW/100 MWh BESS while the Gaia project comprises 183.84 MWdc of solar capacity and a 75 MW/150 MWh BESS. Both projects were placed in service in 2025 and commenced operations in the first half of 2026. Together, the projects are expected to generate around 585 GWh of electricity annually, enough to power approximately 54,000 homes.
In April 2026, Monarch Private Capital and Generate Capital closed a 104 MW community solar investment portfolio in US, comprising more than 15 projects. The projects are scheduled to commence operations in the second and third quarters of 2026. Collectively, the projects are expected to power more than 20,000 homes annually while avoiding around 150,000 metric tonnes of carbon emissions. The projects are also expected to generate approximately $200 million in investment tax credits.
