The Nordex Group has commenced production at its new blade manufacturing facility in Turkey. The facility is expected to produce up to 1,200 rotor blades annually at full capacity. The facility will manufacture rotor blades for the advanced N163 and N175 turbine models designed for medium to strong wind conditions. The facility will initially supply blades for projects awarded under Turkey’s YEKA-4 and YEKA-5 renewable energy programmes, with plans to export blades to support European wind energy projects.
In May 2026, the Nordex Group secured a 110 MW order from Eksim Enerji A.Ş. for the supply and installation of 16 N175/6.X wind turbines in Turkey. The turbines will be deployed at the Balıkesir-3 wind farm in the Sındırgı district of Balıkesir Province on 119-meter tubular steel towers. The contract also includes a 10-year premium service agreement to ensure long-term turbine performance and availability.
In May 2026, the Nordex Group secured a combined 82 MW wind turbine orders from Westfälisch-Niedersächsische Energie GmbH & Co. KG in Germany. The contracts involve the supply and installation of twelve N175/6.X turbines with 179-meter hub heights across three projects in the Höxter district of North Rhine-Westphalia. Seven turbines will be installed at the Dringenberg along with three turbines at the Gehrden Ost, and two turbines at the Gehrden Fölsen extension wind projects. Construction is expected to commence in mid-2027.
