ZOE Energy Storage has partnered with a Saudi company to establish a battery energy storage system (BESS) manufacturing facility. The BESS will be developed in two phases, with Phase I delivering 6 GWh capacity by the first quarter of 2027 and Phase II expanding total production capacity to 18 GWh. Once operational, the facility will support Saudi Arabia’s renewable energy targets of 130 GW renewable capacity, 48 GWh storage deployment, and 50 per cent clean electricity generation and will serve markets across the Middle East, Africa, and Central Asia.
In January 2026, Nextpower and Abunayyan Holding completed the incorporation of their joint venture (JV), Nextpower Arabia, headquartered in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
