Nordex Group has received an order from Mercury for 40 N133/4.8 wind turbines with a total capacity of 192 MW. The turbines will be installed at the Puke Kapo Hau wind farm in the Otago region on New Zealand’s South Island. Furthermore, Nordex and Mercury have signed a 30-year service agreement for the project. Installation of the first turbine, which will be mounted on a 90-metre tubular steel tower, is expected to begin in early 2028, with the first unit scheduled to be commissioned by mid-2028.

Earlier, in May 2026, the Nordex Group commenced production at its new blade manufacturing facility in Turkey. The facility is expected to produce up to 1,200 rotor blades annually at full capacity. The facility will manufacture rotor blades for the advanced N163 and N175 turbine models designed for medium to strong wind conditions.

In January 2026, the Nordex Group received wind turbine supply orders totaling 224.4 MW from UKA (Umweltgerechte Kraftanlagen GmbH & Co. KG) for wind projects located in Germany. The orders were placed under an existing framework agreement between Nordex Group and UKA and cover the supply of 33 N175/6.X wind turbines.
