NorthStar Clean Energy has completed the Hart Solar Project in Oceana County, Michigan. The project, with an installed capacity of 120 MW, is expected to generate over 200 GWh of electricity annually. The project will generate enough electricity to supply around 21,000 homes while offsetting 96,000 metric tonnes of carbon emissions annually.
Furthermore, the project will supply clean energy through long-term power purchase agreements with Executive Energy Services and the Michigan Public Power Agency (MPPA). Project inauguration is scheduled in October 2026. The project also created over 300 construction jobs and generated long-term tax revenues and local benefits.
In June 2026, the Michigan Schools Energy Cooperative (MISEC) and NorthStar Clean Energy launched the operational MISEC Genesee solar farm to provide clean power to 65 Michigan K–12 school districts. The project has an installed capacity of 41 MW. The 15-year agreement will help participating schools meet sustainability goals while locking in predictable, discounted energy rate with cumulative long-term savings expected to exceed $18 million over the contract term.
