ScottishPower Renewables, a subsidiary of Iberdrola, has received planning permission for its East Anglia One North and East Anglia Two offshore wind projects from the Planning Inspectorate of the UK. In October 2019, the company submitted applications for the two wind farms to the Planning Inspectorate for consideration. The following month, these were accepted for evaluation.

The East Anglia One North offshore wind farm will have a total capacity of 800 MW and will include 67 wind turbines. In the North Sea, the project was proposed at a location 36 km from Lowestoft and 42 km from Southwold. The East Anglia Two offshore wind farm, with a capacity of up to 900 MW, was proposed at a site 37 km from Lowestoft and 32 km from Southwold in Suffolk. The combined installed capacity of the two offshore wind farms will be 1.7 GW.

In January 2022, ScottishPower signed two agreements to purchase 17 solar photovoltaic (PV) projects in Britain, totalling more than 800 MW. The company acquired 12 solar PV projects from renewables developer Elgin Energy, with a total capacity of 519 MW and 70 MW of energy storage capacity, and the remaining solar projects from developer Lightsource BP. The company estimates that the projects in England, Scotland, and Wales would be operational by 2025, providing enough sustainable energy to power more than 220,000 homes. The sites would require a $687 million investment to commission.
