Risen Energy Co., Ltd., a Chinese solar module manufacturer, has secured the contract to provide TITAN 650 W PV modules to Sinopec’s green hydrogen demonstration project in Kuqa County, Xinjiang, China. Once completed, the 361 MW project will be the world’s largest PV-based hydrogen manufacturing facility, and it is being hailed as a breakthrough in China’s efforts to transform its huge traditional energy producers.
According to the statement, the four companies that make 210 mm modules or both 210 mm and 182 mm modules were the only ones examined because the bid required PV modules with a power output of at least 650 W. Risen Energy is first due to its 210 mm solar modules, which reflects the growing demand of high-power modules among customers as well as the market dominance of the 210 mm module.
Risen Energy intends to expand the use of clean energy by collaborating with Sinopec to investigate innovative approaches to PV-based hydrogen generation using its combined product and technology expertise. In December 2021, Risen Energy Co., planned to develop a $7 billion integrated solar power factory in Inner Mongolia that will run on renewable energy. According to a filing with the Shenzhen stock exchange on December 27, 2021, the project will produce materials across the supply chain, from industrial silicon to finished solar.
