RWE and PPC have commissioned the final solar farm of the Amynteo photovoltaic complex located in Western Macedonia, Greece. This commissioning brings the nine solar projects with a combined capacity of 930 MWp into full operation. The projects were developed through their joint venture Meton Energy S.A. with RWE owning 51 per cent and PPC owning 49 per cent.

In addition to the Amynteo photovoltaic clusters, both the companies are also constructing the Kotyli and Neo Syrakio solar projects in Central Macedonia. These projects will have a total installed capacity of 567 MWp and are scheduled for commissioning in 2027. The two projects are expected to generate enough electricity to power more than 240,000 Greek households annually.

In June 2026, RWE and Meta signed a long-term power purchase agreement (PPA) for the 298 MWac Rabbit’s Foot Solar project in Bowie County, Texas. The project is currently under construction and is expected to commence commercial operations by the end of 2027. Once operational, the facility will supply clean electricity to support Meta’s commitment to matching its operations with 100 percent renewable energy.
