Sonnedix has commenced development on a portfolio of five solar PV projects totalling 300 MW. The construction is expected to be finished in early 2025. In addition to avoiding 58,000 metric tonnes of carbon emissions yearly, it will provide about 300,000 MWh of renewable electricity annually, enough to power 85,000 homes in the UK.

Furthermore, the portfolio is fully contracted under the Contracts for Difference (CfD) programme of the UK government, with allocation rounds AR4 and AR5, which offer revenue certainty and long-term price stability. CfDs give an assurance of price for power through 15-year contracts. In England, the portfolio consists of five ground-mounted solar PV plants: Cowley Complex (County Durham); Gonerby Solar (Lincolnshire); Winkburn Solar Farm (Nottinghamshire); Gammaton Solar (North Devon); and Lawns Solar (Lancashire). Ameresco Sunel Energy is constructing these, with sizes ranging from 20 MW to 120 MW.

In October 2023, Sonnedix concluded the $556 million purchase of a 416 MW solar portfolio in Chile from Enel Chile. The company has purchased Arcadia Generacion Solar, a company that manages a portfolio of four active solar power projects. Reportedly, the deal was finalised following permission from the Chilean antitrust authority, Fiscalía Nacional Económica, and was initially revealed in July 2023.
