Sonnedix has signed three power purchase agreements (PPAs) with Copec EMOAC for the Sonnedix Librillo project in Chile. The project features a 117 MW standalone battery energy storage system (BESS) with 5-hour duration, enabling a total storage capacity of 643.8 MWh per day. The project is expected to commence operations by April 2027.
In April 2026, Sonnedix and Endesa signed a tailored financial product covering 262.8 GWh of renewable energy. This is the first hybrid product in Sonnedix’s portfolio which is constructed to hedge its solar PV and battery energy storage system (BESS) positions starting from 2027. The agreement spans Sonnedix’s renewable assets across Spain and Portugal, including its battery storage expansion.
In March 2026, Sonnedix acquired six solar plants in Italy under the Akira portfolio, adding 194 MW to its capacity. The portfolio includes 182 MW of operational projects and a 12 MW project under construction, all in the Lazio region. This acquisition, backed by long-term power purchase agreements (PPAs), brings Sonnedix’s total operational capacity in the country to over 1 GW.
