Voltalia bags 132 MW solar project in Tunisia

Voltalia has been awarded a 132 MW solar project in the Gabès region of south-east Tunisia by the Tunisian government. Construction of the Wadi solar project is scheduled to begin in 2027, with commissioning planned for 2028. With the addition of the Wadi project, Voltalia’s total solar capacity in Tunisia that is planned to move into the construction phase has reached nearly 400 MW.

Voltalia begins construction of hybrid project in Uzbekistan

Voltalia has commenced construction of the Artemisya hybrid energy cluster in Uzbekistan, covering battery storage and the first phase of wind capacity. The initial phase includes a 100 MW/200 MWh battery energy storage system project and a 100 MW wind project. The entire Artemisya cluster is planned to comprise 126 MW of solar capacity, 300 MW of wind capacity, and 100 MW/200 MWh of battery storage.

Voltalia inks PPA for 526 MW hybrid project in Uzbekistan

Voltalia has inked a power sales agreement for its hybrid project in Uzbekistan. This hybrid project comprises 126 MW of solar energy, 300 MW of wind power, and 100 MW/200 MWh of battery storage. The agreement extends for 25 years for the wind and solar projects and for 15 years for the storage projects.  Furthermore, the construction phase is set to begin in the first quarter of 2026 for solar and storage projects and in the third quarter of 2026 for wind power.

Voltalia inks contract for 940 MW renewable energy projects in Brazil

Voltalia has inked a 940 MW maintenance contract with COPEL Get, a subsidiary of COPEL. This is a five-year agreement and covers a total installed capacity of 940 MW in the Brisa Potiguar, Cutia and Bento Miguel, São Bento do Norte, Jandaíra, Aventura and Santa Rosa Mundo Novo clusters. This maintenance agreement involves preventive and corrective maintenance of collector substations, medium voltage networks, and 138 and 230 kV transmission lines.

Voltalia and Taqa Arabia to develop renewable energy and green hydrogen in Egypt

Voltalia, in partnership with TAQA Arabia, signed a framework agreement at the Egypt-EU Investment Conference 2024, which took place on June 29 and 30 in Cairo. Following a MoU signed in December 2022, the agreement aims to develop a cluster that integrates renewable energy and green hydrogen production. The project will be carried out in two identical phases, with each phase incorporating a 500 MW electrolyzer powered by more than 1.3 GW of solar and wind energy.

Voltalia sells 420 MW solar project to Newave Energia

Voltalia, a French renewable energy firm, has a divested 420 MW Brazilian solar plant to Newave Energia. The amount involved is not disclosed. The solar plant will be situated in the southeast Brazilian state of Minas Gerais. Additionally, the development, management, and maintenance of the solar plant will be assisted by Voltalia.

Voltalia to develop 1.5 GW solar photovoltaic cluster in Brazil

Voltalia, a French renewable energy company, intends to construct a solar PV cluster with a capacity of more than 1.5 GW in Minas Gerais, Brazil. Voltalia, located in the Arinos region, is developing a solar cluster for its own use as well as for third parties. The company has already formed alliances with a number of companies, including CTG Brasil, which will purchase a significant portion of the solar sites once the development phase is completed.
