TotalEnergies has acquired a pipeline of 8 solar projects with a capacity of 350 MW and 2 battery storage projects with a capacity of 85 MW from Low Carbon. The solar projects are in the advanced stage of development and are expected to be operational by 2028.

Furthermore, the solar projects will produce over 350 GWh/year of renewable electricity. The renewable electricity produced is equivalent to the electricity consumption of around 1,00,000 UK households. Recently, in May 2025, TotalEnergies and RGE entered into a co-investment agreement to develop, build, and operate a solar photovoltaic power plant with a battery energy storage system in Indonesia.

TotalEnergies is a global integrated energy company that produces and markets energies: oil and biofuels, natural gas, biogas, and low-carbon hydrogen, renewables, and electricity. Low Carbon is a UK based company currently having over 16 GW of new renewables in development across the globe. It invests, develops, and operates solar, wind, energy storage, and energy from waste projects across UK, Europe, and North America.
