Sembcorp Industries (Sembcorp) has signed two separate agreements to acquire a total of 428 MW of wind assets in China and India. Siemens Gamesa, a Spanish wind turbine manufacturer, has received an order from Vena Energy, a Singapore-based company, to deliver wind turbines for a 133 MW wind project in Karnataka, India. As per the agreement, Siemens Gamesa will supply 37 of its 3.X platform turbines, known as SG 3.6-145, for the project. The turbines would be manufactured at Siemens Gamesa’s facilities in India, and installation work at the site is slated to begin in 2023.

The Budai project will be one of the largest fishery solar farms in Taiwan, creating 750 employment opportunities during construction, which is expected to commence in June 2023.
