OCI Energy, CPS Energy, and LG Energy Solution Vertech join forces for BESS project in Texas

OCI Energy, CPS Energy, and LG Energy Solution Vertech, which is the US energy storage division of LG Energy Solutions, have inked a memorandum of understanding (MoU) for the Alamo City battery energy storage system (BESS) project. The project has a capacity of 120 MW/480 MWh and is currently under development in Bexar County, Texas. OCI Energy is the project developer. The project is expected to reach commercial operation in 2027.

Energy Estate enters the US market through acquisition of San Luis Industrial Complex

Energy Estate has entered the US market with the acquisition of the San Luis Industrial Complex (SLIC) from San Luis Renewables and Our Energy, the co-developers of the project. Deriva Energy has completed $127 million debt financing for a portfolio of currently operational energy assets. The portfolio received senior secured notes from Principal Asset Management and MetLife Investment Management. Zelestra inks agreement with Sungrow for 1 GWh BESS project in Chile

Sungrow has inked an agreement with Zelestra to provide battery storage technology for a battery energy storage system (BESS) project being delivered in Latin America. Under the agreement, Sungrow will provide its PowerTitan 2.0 liquid-cooled BESS and its MV power conversion units for the BESS project with a storage capacity of 1 GWh. The project forms part of the hybrid Aurora scheme in Tarapacá, Chile, which is currently under construction.

Grenergy inks 390 GWh solar PPA in Chile

Grenergy has inked a long-term power purchase agreement (PPA) with a global energy company in Chile. The agreement stipulates the sale of 390 GWh of solar energy annually through a daytime PPA. This PPA will come into effect in October 2026. The solar energy will be generated by projects being developed by Grenergy in central Chile. Furthermore, out of the total 390 GWh, 110 GWh of solar energy per year will be provided over a 15-year period.

La Société de projet BVH1, s.e.n.c., a corporation jointly created by Boralex Inc., Énergir Développement Inc., and Hydro-Québec, has secured $960 million financing for the 400 MW Des Neiges – Secteur sud wind power project. The project is currently under construction on the private lands of Seigneurie de Beaupré. The financing for the wind project consists of a $733 million construction loan.

Lhyfe secures €149 million subsidy for green hydrogen production plant
