Apex Clean Energy divests 49 per cent stake in 251 MW renewables portfolio to EGCO Group

Apex Clean Energy has inked an agreement with Electricity Generating Public Company Limited (EGCO Group) for the partial sale of its renewable assets portfolio in US. Under the agreement, EGCO Group will acquire a 49 per cent ownership interest in the Pinnacle II portfolio, which has a combined capacity of 251 MW. The remaining 51 per cent stake will be owned by Apex Clean Energy, and it will oversee the operations of the projects.

Celepsa and Zelestra have inked a power purchase agreement (PPA) that guarantees the supply of renewable energy for Celepsa’s operations in Peru. The PPA will allow Celepsa to receive 450 GWh of renewable energy annually for its operations. Furthermore, under this agreement, Zelestra will build a 238 MWdc solar project in Peru. The new projects, along with the San Martín project, will increase Zelestra’s contracted portfolio to over 530 MWdc in Peru.

EDP Renewables North America (EDPR NA) has launched the 100 MW Riverstart III Solar Park (Riverstart III) in Randolph County, Indiana. This represents the newest third phase of Riverstart Solar Park. Riverstart III will generate electricity equivalent to the consumption of more than 19,200 households in Indiana.  Furthermore, Amazon has contracted for the entire 100 MW of the solar park through a long-term power purchase agreement.

AIP Management has inked an agreement to acquire a 49.99 per cent equity stake in Pine Forest. This project from Clearway Energy Group consists of a 300 MWac solar photovoltaic system and a 200 MW/400 MWh battery energy storage system. The total investment for the project is around $ 200 million. Furthermore, this project is located in the ERCOT North market region. The project is currently under construction.

ENERGO-PRO has inked an agreement to purchase the large hydropower plant Baixo Iguaçu situated in Brazil. This hydropower plant has a total capacity of 350 MW. The Baixo Iguaçu plant was constructed in 2019 on the Iguaçu River in the state of Paraná. Furthermore, the purchase price of the power plant exceeds €250 million. The purchase is financed by a combination of ENERGO-PRO’s own funds and external sources.

These are the Santo Antônio do Jari hydropower plant situated in the states of Amapá and Pará and the Cachoeira Caldeirão hydropower plant in the state of Amapá. The transaction is valued at approximately R$2.9 billion out of which approximately R$2.3 billion is in equity and approximately R$671 thousand in net debt.

Invenergy has reached the commercial operations of the Sauk Valley Hydrogen facility. This is a 5 acre clean hydrogen project situated in Rock Falls, Illinois. This hydrogen facility will utilise power from Invenergy’s co-located solar facility and Ohmium International’s electrolyser technology. Furthermore, using Invenergy’s co-located solar and electrolyser facility, the green hydrogen plant can produce up to 40 metric tonnes of clean hydrogen annually.

Aslan Energy Capital inks MoU to supply green hydrogen to CalYan XGH

Aslan Energy Capital has signed a MoU to supply 100,000 tonnes per annum (TPA) of sustainable hydrogen to CalYan XGH. This green hydrogen will be supplied from Aslan Energy Capital’s Aslan Net-Zero Energy Mexico (ANEM) Project in Mexico. This is a solar-powered facility dedicated to producing green hydrogen and green ammonia and will be operational by 2028. The collaboration aims to establish a clean hydrogen supply chain to California. Furthermore, Aslan will oversee the delivery of hydrogen to the Southern California border.
