RWE partners with Stanwell for 1.8 GW wind projects in Australia

RWE and Stanwell have teamed up to construct two onshore wind farms with a total capacity of 1.8 GW in Queensland Australia. Stanwell will look into energy offtakes and probable equity investment in RWE’s 1.1 GW Theodore wind farm which is under construction near the town of Biloela. A second wind project with 720 MW of capacity is at an initial stage of construction in the southern part of the state.

Contact Energy to develop 150 MW geothermal power plant in New Zealand

Contact Energy has announced that it will proceed with the construction of the Tauhara Geothermal plant for an estimated investment of $418 million. Neoen plans to build a 500 MW battery storage project in Australia
