CS Energy, an Australian electricity company, has signed a MoU with EDF Renewables for the construction of the 230 MW Banana Range Wind Farm in Central Queensland. The Banana Range Wind Farm, which will be in the Biloela region, will be able to generate enough clean energy to power 15,000 homes. During the construction phase, the project is planned to provide 150 jobs. Construction on the site is set to begin in 2024, with the project slated to be completed in 2026.

Contact Energy has announced that it will proceed with the construction of the Tauhara Geothermal plant for an estimated investment of $418 million. The project will have an installed capacity of 150 MW and will be located on the Tauhara field, near Taupo.
