Infinite Green Energy selected Technip Energies for a green hydrogen manufacturing project in Australia. Technip Energies will execute front-end engineering design (FEED) for the MEG-HP1 Early Production Facility, a 10 MW green hydrogen production project in Northam, Western Australia. The Northam Solar Farm, which will be acquired by Infinite Green Energy and is situated about 100 km east of Perth, will supply energy to the MEG-HP1 Early Production Facility. The solar farm is spread across 25 hectares and comprises 33,600 solar panels.
With additional land secured for prospective growth, the Northam Solar Farm is already connected to the South West Interconnected System. The 10 MW green hydrogen production facility will be built near the solar farm and will be capable of producing up to 4.3 tonnes of green hydrogen per day. Hydrogen production offtake is concentrated in the heavy transport industry, with in-depot refuelling aimed at back-to-base logistics operators and local governments.
