Mytilineos, a Greek energy company, has announced that it has been awarded the engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) deal for a 373 MW solar project in the UK. Quinbrook Infrastructure Partners, a British investment firm, granted the $138.7 million agreement to the company’s Energy and Metals business.

Furthermore, the Greek enterprise will oversee the EPC activities at the Cleve Hill project in Kent, commonly known as Project Fortress, under its terms. Moreover, the solar farm is projected to be entirely operational by the start of 2025 and yield roughly 374,000 GWh of electricity, enough to supply more than 100,000 houses for an entire year. Additionally, there are plans for wiring the PV park to a battery storage station.

In September 2023, EDF Renewables acquired SAS Energy. On September 15, 2023, SAS Energy became a fully owned subsidiary of EDF. Reportedly, the two companies had a pre-established relationship. Additionally, both companies completed the installation of rooftop mounted solar PV at Safran’s Pitstone manufacturing facility in the south of the UK.
