PPC Group has signed an agreement to acquire a wind and solar portfolio from EDP Renewables Polska in Poland. The acquisition includes 130.5 MW of operating wind farms, 44.9 MW of operating solar parks and 101.9 MW of cable-pooling solar projects under development, totalling 277.3 MW of acquired capacity. The projects feature an estimated 35-year operating life.
Furthermore, the operating wind portfolio comprises the Ilza (54 MW), Tomaszow (46.5 MW) and Poturzyn (30 MW) wind farms, all with high capacity factors of up to 33 per cent. The solar portfolio includes the Pakoslaw (25.1 MW) and Recz (19.8 MW) solar parks. The cable-pooling solar projects including the Ilza CP (50.9 MW) and Tomaszow CP (51 MW), are expected to commence operations in 2029.
In June 2026, PPC and RWE commissioned the final solar farm of the Amynteo photovoltaic complex located in Western Macedonia, Greece. This commissioning brings the nine solar projects with a combined capacity of 930 MWp into full operation. The projects were developed through their joint venture Meton Energy S.A. with RWE owning 51 per cent and PPC owning 49 per cent.
