Stargate Hydrogen has signed a €20.6 million EU Innovation Fund grant agreement to expand its green hydrogen electrolyser manufacturing facility in Tallinn, Estonia. The facility will produce alkaline electrolyser electrodes, pressurised alkaline stacks and electrolyser systems with annual capacities of 250 MW, 150 MW and 66 MW, respectively. The facility is expected to avoid around 3 million tonnes of carbon emissions over its first 10 years of operation.
In July 2026, Stargate Hydrogen and Hydrogenera signed an agreement to collaborate on industrial hydrogen projects across Europe. The partnership will focus on alkaline electrolyser stack solutions, system integration, and complete hydrogen system delivery. The companies will pursue project-based opportunities in industrial applications, demonstrations and hydrogen-sector initiatives while continuing to operate independently.
In October 2025, Stargate Hydrogen and OX2 signed an agreement to accelerate renewable hydrogen production in the Nordic region. Under the agreement, the companies will deploy a 10 MW Aurora electrolyser system in Åland which will support decarbonisation across industry, road transport and shipping. In parallel, the companies will also participate in the ABB-led H2 Springboard programme to develop modular hydrogen solutions and accelerate technology commercialisation.
