Recurrent Energy secures up to €1.3 billion renewables financing

Recurrent Energy has secured a multi-currency revolving credit facility worth up to €1.3 billion from a consortium of ten banks for the development of renewable energy projects across multiple European countries. The agreement will enable Recurrent Energy to advance its solar and battery energy storage projects in Spain, Italy, the United Kingdom, the Netherlands, France, and Germany. Initially, the facility is valued at €674 million and has the potential to expand to approximately €1.3 billion.

Neoen bags 380 MW contract for BESS in Canada

Neoen has disclosed that its fully-owned subsidiary, Shift Solar Inc, secured a 380 MW / 4-hour capacity contract through a competitive tender organised by the Independent Electricity System Operator (IESO), Ontario’s electric grid operator. Grey Owl Storage will supply the IESO during 20 years from commissioning with additional capacity that will contribute to meet the province’s growing demands.

Sungrow gets 230 MWh BESS order from Nofar Energy

Sungrow has signed supply and service agreements for a new BESS project with Nofar Energy. The project will be developed in Stendal, Saxony-Anhalt, Germany and will feature the PowerTitan2.0, which is a liquid-cooled energy storage system. The project will have a capacity of 116,5MW/230MWh. The system will integrate a 2.5 MW power conversion system and 5 MWh battery into a single 20-ft container.

SSE Renewables has purchased a fully approved 100 MW / 200 MWh battery storage project near Dungannon, County Tyrone, Northern Ireland, from Heron Energy, a division of Heron Group. Pending a final investment decision by SSE Renewables, the project, ready for construction, will be built on an undeveloped area situated outside Coalisland, roughly five miles away from Dungannon.

Energy Vault Holdings, Inc. and NV Energy have announced the successful completion and commencement of commercial operations for the Reid Gardner Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) located in Moapa, Nevada. It is constructed on the grounds of a retired coal-fired power plant. Prevalon Energy secures contract for BESS project from Idaho Power

Idaho Power has chosen Prevalon Energy, a Mitsubishi Power Americas subsidiary, for a four-hour battery energy storage system (BESS) project with a maximum capacity of 328 MWh in Idaho. The project is planned in accordance with Idaho Power’s plan to include over 5 GW of electricity generated from solar and wind farms over the course of the next 20 years.
