CERC secures loan for solar and BESS projects in the Philippines

Pentagreen Capital is backing Citicore Renewable Energy Corporation (CERC) with a $55 million development and construction loan to support solar and battery energy storage system (BESS) projects in the Philippines. The financing will be used for the construction and development of solar, hybrid solar, and BESS projects with a cumulative generation capacity of up to 2 GW and storage capacity of up to 760 MWh.

Bridge Renewable Energy secures loan for solar and storage project portfolio

Bridge Renewable Energy has closed an $80 million delayed draw term loan facility along with a $5 million revolving credit facility. The facility primarily includes a construction-to-term loan, along with provisions for preferred equity bridge and tax credit bridge loan capacity. The financing has been arranged in partnership with Investec Bank, with additional commitments from Amalgamated Bank and Farmer Mac.

Atlas Renewable Energy has closed a $475 million financing package for the Copiapó solar project, a hybrid solar and battery energy storage system (BESS) located in Chile’s Atacama region. Germany auctions 490 MW of hybrid and storage projects 

Germany’s Federal Network Agency has released the results of the innovation auction that concluded on September 1, 2025. The auction, which invited bids for hybrid renewable and storage projects, was oversubscribed by four times. The tendered capacity was 486 MW, with the auction receiving bids with a total capacity of 2,182 MW. The total number of bids received was 163, of which 33 bids with a cumulative capacity of 490 MW were awarded.

Georgia Power issues RFP for 500 MW ESS

Georgia Power has announced its 2025 Request for Proposals (RFP) to procure 500 MW of energy storage system (ESS) capacity. The RFP was approved by the Georgia Public Service Commission (PSC), as part of the 2022 Integrated Resource Plan. Additionally, it seeks to bring the ESS projects online by 2031. The RFP will be managed by Ascend Analytics as an independent evaluator on behalf of Georgia Power.
