Pacific Green divests 100 per cent stake in BESS project in Australia

Pacific Green has inked binding documents to sell 100 per cent of its shares in the Limestone Coast North Energy Park to Intera Renewables. This transaction is valued at $ 293 million. The Limestone Coast North Energy Park is a 250 MW/ 500 MWh battery energy storage system (BESS) project located at the Limestone Coast region of South Australia. Furthermore, as part of this transaction, Pacific Green will be retained to manage the project’s construction until it reaches commercial operations.

WestWind Energy inks agreement to construct 1 GW wind project in Australia

WestWind Energy has inked a lease agreement with the New South Wales government for the construction of Lake Victoria wind farm. The project will be built over a period of 2-3 years from 2029-2032. The project will have an installed capacity of approximately 1 GW and an annual energy production of approximately 3400 GWh. It also has an estimated capital expenditure of $3.8 billion. The project will also incorporate up to three battery energy storage systems with a total storage capacity of 1500 MWh.

CIP begins construction of 240 MW BESS project in Australia 

Copenhagen Infrastructure Partners (CIP), through its Copenhagen Infrastructure V (CI V) fund, has commenced construction of the 240 MW/960 MWh Summerfield battery in Australia. This decision follows the financial investment decision made in September 2024. The project is situated in South Australia near existing transmission infrastructure. Furthermore, Summerfield has entered into a 10-year offtake agreement with Origin Energy.

Neoen secures debt financing for 1.3 GW clean energy assets in Australia

Neoen has secured AUD 1.4 billion in debt financing for 1.3 GW of wind, solar, and storage assets. This has effectively doubled its Australian renewable energy portfolio financing. Walcha Energy has been working on the Ruby Hills wind and Salisbury solar projects, which have a combined capacity of 1.3 GW. DP Energy obtains development permission for 430 MW wind farm in Australia   

DP Energy has obtained permission for development of its 430 MW Callide wind farm from the Australian state of Queensland’s Assessment Referral Agency. The wind farm is situated in the Calliope range, approximately 75 km from Gladstone and 22 km from Biloela and it has 70 turbines, each having a capacity of 5 to 6 MW. Every turbine has a 250 metre tip height.

RWE partners with Stanwell for 1.8 GW wind projects in Australia

RWE and Stanwell have teamed up to construct two onshore wind farms with a total capacity of 1.8 GW in Queensland Australia. Stanwell will look into energy offtakes and probable equity investment in RWE’s 1.1 GW Theodore wind farm which is under construction near the town of Biloela. A second wind project with 720 MW of capacity is at an initial stage of construction in the southern part of the state.
