Vesper Energy closes financing for 201 MW solar project in Texas

Vesper Energy has closed $236 million in financing for the Nazareth Solar project. The project has an installed capacity of 201 MW and is located in Swisher County, Texas. The financing package includes a construction-to-term loan and a letter of credit facility, provided by MUFG, Associated Bank, Bayern LB, and Development Bank of Japan. The project construction is scheduled to commence in June 2026, with commercial operations targeted for Fall 2027.

Fidra Energy acquires up to 1 GW BESS project in UK

Fidra Energy has acquired the Enderby battery energy storage (BESS) project from Innova in Leicestershire, UK.  Once operational, the project is expected to deliver up to 1,025 MW of storage capacity. The acquisition expands Fidra Energy’s UK battery storage pipeline to more than 4 GW. The project received planning consent in May 2025, with a regulatory decision expected in summer 2026.

Aukera Energy has achieved financial close for Project Volt located in La Louvière, Belgium. The project includes a 170 MW/340 MWh battery energy storage system (BESS) and is being developed in partnership with Weerts Group. Commercial operations for the project are scheduled to commence in mid-2027. The project was awarded a 15-year contract through Elia’s Y-4 Capacity Remuneration Mechanism auction in November 2025.

European Energy has been selected as one of the three projects to receive support under Germany’s hydrogen auction framework linked to the European Hydrogen Bank (EHB). The company has been awarded funding of up to €228 million to support the development of an additional 150 MW of hydrogen production capacity in Denmark. The project will support the decarbonisation of industrial processes and transport sectors across Europe.

Commercial operations for the project are expected to commence in mid-2027.

The projects include the 170 MW Foxtail Flats Solar and Storage facility with 80 MW/320 MWh battery storage and the 100 MW Four Mile Mesa Solar and Storage project with 100 MW/400 MWh storage. Together, the developments represent 270 MW of solar capacity and 180 MW of battery storage capacity.

Nordex commences production at blade manufacturing facility in Turkey

The Nordex Group has commenced production at its new blade manufacturing facility in Turkey. The facility is expected to produce up to 1,200 rotor blades annually at full capacity. The facility will manufacture rotor blades for the advanced N163 and N175 turbine models designed for medium to strong wind conditions. The facility will initially supply blades for projects awarded under Turkey’s YEKA-4 and YEKA-5 renewable energy programmes, with plans to export blades to support European wind energy projects.

The financing package also features $96 million in preferred equity from Nuveen Energy Infrastructure Credit, backed by TIAA.
