DP Energy obtains development permission for 430 MW wind farm in Australia   

DP Energy has obtained permission for development of its 430 MW Callide wind farm from the Australian state of Queensland’s Assessment Referral Agency. The wind farm is situated in the Calliope range, approximately 75 km from Gladstone and 22 km from Biloela and it has 70 turbines, each having a capacity of 5 to 6 MW. Every turbine has a 250 metre tip height.

BP has completed the concept development phase study of a green hydrogen project in Kwinana, Western Australia, and it has identified two viable base-case scenarios for production. Inpex to acquire 50 per cent stake in Enel’s Australian operations

Inpex, a Japanese oil and gas exploration and production company, has agreed to acquire a 50 per cent stake in the Australian operations of Italian utility Enel. Inpex will purchase a stake in Enel Green Power Australia and Enel Green Power Australia Trust (collectively EGPA) as part of the acquisition. These two businesses are wholly owned by Enel Green Power, a division of Enel. With debt of about €140 million, the acquisition values EGPA at about €400 million.

Ocean Winds to develop offshore wind projects in Australia

Ocean Winds, a 50-50 joint venture (JV) between Spanish renewables firm EDP and French energy giant Engie, has submitted an application to build offshore wind projects off the coast of Victoria, Australia.
