Enfinity Global acquires a 250 MW solar portfolio in Japan

Enfinity Global Inc., a leading renewable energy and sustainability services company, has announced the $1 billion acquisition of a 250 MW solar photovoltaic portfolio in Japan. Enfinity Global’s platform in Japan will be consolidated as a result of this acquisition, allowing the company to expand further in the country. The acquisition includes three large-scale solar power facilities which are already operational, while five more are in the planning stages across Japan.

JERA plans to invest $1.4 billion to develop 1 GW solar power

JERA, Japan’s power generator, announced that it will invest $1.4 billion over the next five years to create 1 GW of solar power farms in Japan, in collaboration with local energy developer West Holdings Corp. Amazon has signed a long-term corporate power purchase agreement (corporate PPA) with Mitsubishi Corporation (MC), marking Amazon’s first use of renewable energy in Japan. Etrion sells three solar projects for JPY 8.252 billion to a Japanese consortium

Etrion Corporation, which is a solar independent power producer, has completed the sale of its stake in the 13.2 MW Komatsu, 24.7 MW Shizukuishi and 9.3 MW Mito solar projects which are currently operational. The sale has been made to a consortium established by Development Bank of Japan, Kansai Electric Power, and Osaka Gas Co., Ltd. for a value of JPY 8.252 billion, which is equivalent to about $74.8 million.

Iberdrola signed a joint-venture agreement with Cosmo Eco Power and HitachiZosen Corp to collaborate on developing a 600 MW offshore wind farm in Japan, known as the Seihoku-oki project.
