BHE Renewables completes acquisition of Iowa wind project from RPM Access

BHE Renewables announced it has completed the acquisition of the 54 MW Independence wind energy project from RPM Access LLC. Located near Ryan, Iowa, the project consists 18 GE 2.8 MW wind turbines and two GE 2.3 MW wind turbines and will be completed in the fourth quarter 2021. The project will serve Central Iowa Power Cooperative under a 20-year power purchase agreement.

Ørsted acquires Brookfield’s onshore wind power platform

Ørsted has entered into an agreement with Brookfield Renewable to acquire a 100% equity interest in its existing Ireland and UK onshore wind business, Brookfield Renewable Ireland (BRI). With this transaction, Ørsted will enter the European onshore wind market. The transaction is expected to close by Q2 2021 and BRI’s existing management team will continue to run the business which will be integrated into Ørsted’s Onshore business unit over time.

ReNew Power has commissioned a 300 MW wind power plant in Gujarat, India. The project was previously awarded to ReNew’s operating subsidiary ReNew Wind Energy (AP2) Private Limited in a competitive e-reverse auction conducted by Solar Energy Corporation of India Limited. Falck commissions 74 MW wind farm in Sweden

Falck Renewables has that it has connected its 74.1 MW Brattmyrliden wind farm in Sweden to the grid. The project is located in the Ornskoldsvik municipality and is set to generate 263.5 GWh annually which will power about 52,700 homes in the country. The project is owned by Falck Renewables’ subsidiary Brattmyrliden Vind AB and consists of 19 N133 wind turbines supplied by Nordex SE. The turbines are currently in the final testing phase before it reaches full commercial operations by the end of June 2021.

Avangrid Renewables announced the commissioning of its 154.8 MW Tatanka Ridge Wind Farm. The project consists of 56 wind turbines and is located in Deuel County, S.D., northeast of Brookings. Further, the wind farm is owned by Tatanka Ridge Wind, LLC, a joint venture between Avangrid Renewables and WEC Energy Group.
