CleanMax and TTIPL join forces to develop 300 MW clean energy projects in India

CleanMax and Toyota Tsusho India Private Limited (TTIPL) have entered a long-term partnership to jointly cater to the clean energy needs of Japanese corporations operating in India. The collaboration aims to accelerate the adoption of renewable energy by leveraging CleanMax’s execution experience and TTIPL’s network across industrial corridors. ArcelorMittal cancels plans for green steel plants in Germany due to high energy costs

ArcelorMittal has canceled plans to convert two plants in Germany to carbon-neutral production. The company has turned down €1.3 billion in subsidies. The government of Germany hoped that the subsidies would motivate the company to convert existing plants to use furnaces fired with hydrogen. Reportedly, the plans were nixed because the country’s energy costs were too high and there was uncertainty about its future energy mix.

Saft to supply BESS for Gurīn’s energy storage project in Japan

Saft will supply a battery energy storage system (BESS) for Gurīn Energy’s (Gurīn) energy storage project. The energy storage project is being developed in Fukushima, Japan. Saft will deliver a fully integrated lithium-ion battery system with a total of over 1 GWh of storage, together with power conversion and power management systems from its partners. The BESS will be installed, commissioned, and serviced by Saft.

Lightsource bp secures financing for 115 MWp fishery solar project in Taiwan

Lightsource bp has secured approximately TWD 6 billion in financing for its fishery solar project. The project has a capacity of 115 MWp and is situated in Budai and Yizhu Townships within Chiayi County, Taiwan. Construction of the project is set to commence in June 20205. Senvion India bags 420 MW wind turbine order from Continuum Green Energy
