DOMINION has finalised the sale of six solar parks in the Dominican Republic. The company has sold 80 per cent of its ownership in the solar parks. It will continue to retain the remaining 20 per cent share for the next three years. The value of the transaction is over $375 million. The portfolio has a combined capacity of 321 MWp. GP Capital Partners SRL advised on the deal which will generate a cash inflow of $102 million.

Exus Renewables North America (Exus) has completed $308.2 million financing for several utility-scale renewable energy projects in US. The transactions involve the 185 MW Zia solar power solar portfolio located in New Mexico and the 169 MW Keystone wind portfolio situated in Pennsylvania. The company obtained $149.6 million for Zia Solar Power’s portfolio, which includes nine operational solar farms across New Mexico.

Zelestra has commenced commercial operations at the Gorbea solar plant in Rajasthan, India. The solar plant has a capacity of 435 MWdc and was delivered in under eight months. The State Oil Fund of the Republic of Azerbaijan (SOFAZ) has entered into an agreement with Enfinity Global. Under the agreement, SOFAZ will acquire a 49 per cent equity interest in a 402 MW portfolio of solar photovoltaic plants in Italy from Enfinity Global. The remaining 51 per cent will be retained by Enfinity Global, and it will be the long-term asset manager. The portfolio consists of 14 solar power plants across the Lazio and Emilia-Romagna regions.

ACCIONA Energía has commenced construction of San José project. Located in the district of La Joya in Peru, the photovoltaic project has a capacity of 177.9 MWp. It will commence operations by the end of 2026. Furthermore, it will produce 488 GWh of clean electricity per year. Minnesota approves over 475 MW of solar and storage projects

The Minnesota Public Utilities Commission has approved two solar projects with a combined capacity of over 475 MW. The projects are the Iron Pine solar project and the Northern Crescent solar project. The Northern Crescent solar project will consist of a BESS system, which will be housed in a 3.2 acre facility using lithium iron phosphate battery technology. The Iron Pine solar project received a site permit for a 325 MW solar energy facility in Pine County.
