WV International Ventures, a subsidiary of Netherlands-based WV International, has announced intentions to build a 900 MW wind farm in Serbia’s Novi Sad region. Qualitas Energy, a Spanish renewables investor, has purchased a 96 MW wind energy project pipeline in Germany. Four wind projects are included in the portfolio: two in the Heidekreis district of North Rhine-Westphalia, one in the Uelzen region of Lower Saxony, and one in the Cologne region. The portfolio has the capacity to generate enough electricity to power 64,000 households.

Vattenfall has completed the commissioning of the 168 MW Vesterhav Syd offshore wind project in Denmark. Currently, 170,000 homes are receiving some of their energy needs from the wind farm. Vesterhav Syd’s 20 turbines were installed in July and September of 2023. In November 2023, the project’s first power was fed into the Danish grid.

GreenIT, a joint venture between Eni subsidiary Plenitude and CDP Equity, has struck an agreement with Galileo to develop eight solar projects across Italy. The projects, which are spread over three regions in the country’s south, centre, and north, will have a combined capacity of 140 MW. The deal includes a 1 GW portfolio with a total capacity of more than 1 GW.
