Recurrent Energy acquires 420 MWp solar portfolio in Spain

Recurrent Energy, a subsidiary of Canadian Solar Inc has acquired a solar PV portfolio in the south of Spain with a capacity of more than 420 MWp. The recently acquired portfolio is located in Carmona, a municipality in Seville (Andalusia) and consists of a cluster of four projects, Rey I, II, III and IV, with an aggregate capacity of more than 420 MWp.

EIB and Iberdrola finalise €700 million green loan

The European Investment Bank (EIB) has granted a green loan worth €700 million to Iberdrola. The loan is granted to expand the electricity distribution network in Spain. Iberdrola to build 245 MW solar plant in Italy

Iberdrola has signed an agreement with IB Vogt for the construction of a 245 MW photovoltaic project in Sicily, to which a further 60 MW could be added, bringing the total to 305 MW. Masdar Arlington Energy commences work on two UK sites

Masdar Arlington Energy, a subsidiary of Abu Dhabi Future Energy Company PJSC – Masdar, has initiated the construction of two new battery energy storage system (BESS) projects in the UK. Eolus applies for 1 GW offshore wind project in Sweden

Eolus has submitted an application for the 1 GW Blekinge Offshore Wind Farm, located 11 km off the coast of Blekinge in southern Sweden. Up to 70 turbines at this site, which is part of the Karlshamn and Sölvesborg municipalities, can provide up to 4.3 TWh of renewable energy annually. Van Oord secures contract offshore wind project in Poland

Van Oord has been contracted for the construction of the Baltica 2 Offshore Wind Farm, developed by Ørsted and PGE. The wind farm is located 40 kilometres offshore in the Polish area of the Baltic Sea. The company will transport and install 111 extended monopiles, of which 107 will serve as foundations for wind turbines and the other 4 as foundations for offshore substations.
